During the British rule of India, the prisoners were sent to Cellular Jail in order to keep them away from the revolution. Once upon a time in these places, it was challenging to get out, which led to the death of several prisoners. During World War II, after a brief occupation by the Japanese forces, Port Blair became the base of the Azad Hind Fauj. Inside the Cellular Jail is a well maintained, beautiful garden. There is a light and sound show daily at 5 in the evening in Hindi and 6 PM in English. Stay at the Resorts in Port Blair Near airport.
